What We Learn In Pride

Throughout the year of 2011 and 2012, students of Laurel Ridge Middle School have discussed a wide range of topics in our pride class. Unlike any other class in a normal school day, pride class is a mix of all three age groups sixth, seventh, and eighth grade.
Pride class is only once a month, always on a Wednesday. These topics include trust in one another, Respect, Responsiblity, Caring for one another, and Fairness to all.

These discussions are lead by the student's advisory teacher we communciate with others, and learn through hands on activities like making posters showing what we learned to hang in the hallways.

What is the point to all of this? To emphasize, teach, and model ethical values to the students of Laurel Ridge without any political, religious, or cultural opinions.
